MaxWax Marine specializes in professional gelcoat and fiberglass repair, restoring damaged, cracked, or worn surfaces to a durable factory-correct finish. From chips and stress cracks to impact damage and wear, we repair, color-match, and refinish with precision to protect structural integrity and improve appearance.

We inspect the full extent of damage, including areas not visible to the naked eye, and provide a transparent, itemized quote.
Damaged gel coat and laminate is ground back past the damage boundary. No filling over compromised material.
Where structural fiberglass is damaged, we rebuild with appropriate cloth and resin; matched to the original layup.
Color-matched gelcoat is applied in controlled conditions, built up in layers, and allowed to fully cure before finishing.
Multi-stage machine polish blends the repair into the surrounding surface. We don't stop until the finish is invisible.
Oxidized gel coat, water spots, swirl marks, and dull topcoats don't stand a chance. Our multi-stage machine correction and hand-polish process restores the deep, mirror-like gloss your boat had the day it left the factory.

Most minor gel coat repairs, chips, small cracks, and surface scratches, are completed in 1–2 days. More extensive damage such as osmotic blisters or structural fiberglass repairs typically takes 3–7 days depending on the severity and the size of the affected area. We'll give you a specific timeline during your free on-site assessment.
Yes. MaxWax Marine specializes in precision gel coat color-matching. Using paint-mixing technology and our experience with hundreds of boat brands and hull colors, we blend custom gelcoat that is virtually indistinguishable from the factory finish, even on aged or faded hulls where the color has shifted over time.
Repair costs depend on the size, depth, and location of the damage. Minor gel coat chips and scratches start around $200–$400. Stress crack repairs typically range from $400–$1,200. Structural fiberglass repairs and full panel refinishing are quoted individually after inspection. Contact us for a free, no-obligation quote — no estimate fees, ever.
